The human ear is an advanced and amazing organ of our body. The major function of the ear is to detect, transmit and transduce sound to the brain through three major parts of the ear: the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear.

Sound waves enter the ear canal and cause the eardrum and middle ear bones to vibrate. This sends an electrical signal from the inner ear, via the hearing nerve to the brain.
